🎉 Late WIP Wednesday! Grad school and editing Jacob’s book have been kicking my butt. Sorry for the delay! Here’s a preview from *Stalking Lauren*:

I turn into the alley, ready to face my stalker. Instead, I see a group of hostile men, their eyes full of menace. I glare at them, hands on my hips. “Listen, this isn’t what you want. I think I have a dragon shifter after me.”

They laugh, one of them drawing a weapon. “You’re out of your mind. Dragon shifters aren’t real. Get on your knees!” he barks.

Before I can reply, the air changes. A loud roar echoes off the walls. A massive dragon swoops down, its huge body blocking out the light. Smoke pours from its nostrils.

Its scales are a deep black, shining like armor. Its eyes glow like molten gold, surveying the scene with sharp focus. As it lands, its claws dig into the ground, sending debris flying. The dragon nearly fills the alley, its wings folding back with a heavy thud.

“What were you saying?” I smirk, heart racing as I finally see him in full view, the personification of my deepest fears and desires.

Kade’s eyes narrow at Tristian, then she looks at me. “Whatever you do, don’t run from your bear. Bear shifters love the thrill of the chase. He’ll hunt you down, 💀 anyone who looks in your direction, then 💦 you until you lose track of what day it is.”

I gasp, my mouth dropping open at her bluntness. Tristian glares down at her, a low, unnatural growl rumbling in his chest. Kade just shrugs, her blue eyes unfazed by the massive bear shifter and his intimidating stance.

“What? Who was gonna tell her? Not you,” she says, pointing an accusatory finger at him. “I know you bear shifters; you’re hoping she’ll run so your primal instincts kick in and you can chase her down. She deserves a fair warning.”

“You’re an asshole, Kade,” Tristian growls at her, and Kade just smiles. 😏
